After our late start yesterday we made very good time pulling into Vernon, Texas about 12 midnight. Vernon is past Wichita Falls on its way to Amarillo. Amarillo is almost halfway to Sedona.
We found it interesting that the topography of trees and rolling hills did not really changed until about 50 miles east of Dallas. It was then that we begin to see a more leveling of planes, more grass lands and fewer tree. It will be interesting to see the topography from Vernon in to Amarillo and from Amarillo into New Mexico. This is landscape I've not been exposed to before. We're both anticipating what we will see.
The last of Texas from Amarillo untill now has changed dramatically. The change was fairly fast and arid. We are going to try to get to Sedona tonight. It'll be interesting.
So far the signage has been interesting. I think it was Texas where I read a sign that said, "It'll Do Motel."I'm trying to remember to write, photo or record what I see.
Barbie (the motor home) is not liking the long inclines she has to climb. We're sitting onv the side letting her cool off.
